A Rose for Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms, grand moms, great-grand moms and moms-to-be!  We wish you a day filled with love and appreciation.

One of my favorite things in the world is an Abraham Darby rose.  If one is blooming in your garden – as this one is today in mine – you just have to stop and smell it as you walk past.  It is best to put your nose right in and breathe.  Ahhh…that makes my day.

My research says that the Abraham Darby rose was first produced by David Austin in England in 1985.  Thank you Mr. Austin for bringing this beauty in both appearance and sweet aroma to all of us!
