A Most Favorite Kitchen Store

by | Jul 16, 2017

There is a little kitchen store in Jackson, California that is a favorite with moms, cooks, and anyone that just enjoys being around nice people and pretty things.  Located in the heart of California’s Gold Country, with its own wealth of history and scenic attractions, it is quite easy to find when traveling from here to there.  Check your map and find The Biggest Little Kitchen Store on Main Street.

Beginning simply as Home and Farm Supply in a renovated Shell Gas Station in 1974 it soon became the place to go to for your kitchen needs.  Aisles were so narrow that two people passing had to get a little cozy but it was so worth the thrill of mining for the treasures that awaited on the shelves.  And if they did not have what you needed they could probably get it.

Run by Travis and Jess Williams, third generation owners, the store was moved to bigger accommodations just a few hundred feet from the original gas station location.  Now the treasures are even more bountiful.  I believe it is almost impossible to enter the store and not find something (or many things) that you truly want or need.

Because Jen and I have loved this awesome kitchen store for many years, we are ecstatic that they now have our book, Memoirs of a Delicious Life, on their shelves. Thank you, Janie, for enjoying our book and wanting to share it.

Take a welcome break and visit Jess, Travis, Janie or Tracie at The Biggest Little Kitchen Store, 165 Main Street, Jackson, CA  and  let yourself be impressed.  If you cannot go in person visit them at www.biggestlittlekitchenstore.com.

I am the baby boomer in our little trio. I am a granddaughter of immigrants, making me ¾ Swedish and ¼ Dutch. I am the second of four children to Tillie and Mel (1st generation Americans). I am mother to one girl and two boys, and Oma to one boy and two girls. I am a wife of 47 years who dearly loves the sweet man that I married. I am the human version of mom to a blonde, curly haired, 75 pound dog who likes to attach himself to my leg to better keep track of me. Read More
